Congratulations to Elizabeth Van Rixel and Nathan Wolf this past Saturday, representing Athens in the D3 Sectional Cross Country race! Both put up personal record times and Elizabeth was one runner away from making a trip to State! Great Season!

End of September, the Outdoor Adventure classes along with the Strength & Conditioning class enjoyed a friendly Ladder Golf tournament. Pictured are the winners from each class.

Mrs. Haines and Ms. Borchardt’s third graders enjoyed the first cold day prior to our first snowfall. Using our new playground equipment may not work as good in the snow.
Ms. Stuttgen’s classroom was busy today. Intro to Animal Science has been studying feedstuffs and had the opportunity to handle and smell a few samples I collected. Thank you Miltrim Farms and Kelly Bunkelman for the feed samples for the students to investigate. Then Intro to Ag decorated sugar cookies to look like specific beef breeds to wrap up their large animal unit. Then we finished the day with FFA members carving pumpkins.
Physics students experiment with horizontal motion to see if a ball rolled off a platform will hit the ground at the same time that an identical ball is dropped from the same height.
