It is Plant Sale Week! Come on out to the Athens FFA plant sale on Friday, May 10th from 3:30 to 6pm and Saturday, May 11th from 9am to 3pm.

The Athens FFA hosted Food for America for the 3rd and 4th graders in the school district. Food for America is a program that teaches students about all aspects of agriculture. They got to go to Miltrim Farms to learn all about the awesome dairy cow, take a farm tour and complete a day in the life of a dairy farmer. Thank you to everyone at Miltrims Farms for helping us host this awesome event!

Huge congratulations to Kaydin and Katelynn! These two FFA members are set to receive their State FFA Degree in June at the WI State FFA Convention. The State FFA Degree recognizes those individuals who have excelled in their FFA career and it is the highest degree the state can bestow on an FFA member. Congratulations!

Mark your calendars! The Athens FFA Plant Sale will be May 10th from 3:30-6:00pm and May 11th from 9:00-3:00pm. We have hanging baskets, annuals, vegetables, and herbs.

The Companion Animal class held a Dog Show after they researched a dog breed from a specific dog group. They then had to make a life size dog that matched the breed description 🏆Best in Show: The Shar Pei 🏆Reserve in Show: The Wire Fox Terrier 🏆Honorable Mention: The Alaskan Malamute

If you aren't busy Friday, April 5 come on out to R.J. Stockwell's in Dorchester and support the Athens FFA Chapter as well as other surrounding FFA Chapters at the North Central WI FFA Showcase Auction. All proceeds benefit the FFA Chapters.

We are at 35% of our families that have registered for the 2024-2025 school year. That is a good number to have but let's keep it going. If you haven't registered for next school year please do so as soon as possible. If you have registered, remind someone to do their registration. The School District of Athens will be closed tomorrow Monday, March 24th due to inclement weather. There will be no after school activities or athletic events.

Congratulations to the Vet Science CDE Team! We found out today that there was an error in the calculations and our team actually took 3rd place, which means they earned a trip to the State CDE competition in April!

On Tuesday five FFA CDE teams headed to Mid-State Technical College to compete in the regional competition. Teams included: 🧀Milk Quality and Products 🐄 Dairy Cattle Evaluation MyKayla: 8th place individual 🦝 Wildlife 🐕‍🦺 Vet Science Bella: 8th place Individual ⭐️ Middle School Congratulations to all the participants!

Six FFA members headed to Granton on March 11th to compete in the Sectional Leadership Development Events. ⭐️Isabella Zastrow: Employment Skills, 2nd place ⭐️Middle School Quiz Bowl: 3rd place Congratulations!

We have had the registration window only open a couple of days and already have over 15% of the familes register for next year! That is a great start! Let's keep that number growing. If you are having issues or lack a computer at home, you can go to your building office tomorrow during parent-teacher conferences from 3:30 to 7:30 for some help. No appointment need.
